About Jacob

Hi, I’m Jacob, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. With a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Aurora University and four years of clinical experience, I work on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, understanding, a healthy dose of humor, and a deep respect for each person’s unique life story. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where we work together to explore your concerns, identify patterns, and build coping strategies that empower you to lead a more fulfilling life.

I work with clients experiencing a variety of issues, including:

• Anxiety and depression

• Stress management and burnout

• Relationship challenges

• Trauma and PTSD

• Life transitions

• Self-esteem and identity exploration

• Addiction

• LGBTQ+ specific issues

• Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

I draw from evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to tailor our work to your individual needs. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental space, so you can gain insight, develop resilience, and find healing.

I also have a variety of personal interests outside of therapy, like reading (anything but mostly fantasy), running, longboarding, biking (I like to be active), gaming, watching movies (especially horror), spending time with close friends, and going on spontaneous adventures. I also like traveling and live music when the opportunity arises. I’m passionate about Social Work and never stop learning or advocating in my free time.
